Michael A. Cunha, MBA

Mr. Cunha formerly a Managing Member and CFO (Founder) of Royal Caridea.  He graduated summa cum laude from Washington State University with a B.S. in Psychology and summa cum laude from Chapman University with an MBA in Accounting and Economics. Mr. Cunha maintains over thirty years of experience in manufacturing, accounting, and finance and executive management. Mr.  Cunha has served as Corporate Controller of Andermac, Inc., a medical equipment manufacturer, for eight years. While at Andermac, under his direction the company was fully automated (including manufacturing) and market share grew to 50% of the California market and 25% nationwide. Mr. Cunha left Andermac and started InterMag, Inc., a magnetic media manufacturer, in late 1991 with four other individuals. Mr. Cunha managed the finance and manufacturing and oversaw the development of the initial contract with Iomega to manufacturer Iomega 100 Zip disks. During his tenure, the company grew from $0 to $72MM in three years. The InterMag management team negotiated and sold InterMag to the second largest magnetic media company in Taiwan in 1995. In 1996, Mr. Cunha with two others started  Mionix Corporation. Mionix is a leader in human and feed additive anti-microbials (www.mionix.com). Mionix Corporation was sold in 2015 to one of its investors. Additionally, Mr. Cunha is a Managing Member of Patmos Holdings I, LLC. Patmos is a holding company for investments in developing companies including Texas Enterosorbents, Inc., the first Texas A&M University funded spin-out and Royal Caridea, LLC.
